Walsall Great Get Together 17th June 2017

28th June 2017 by Hindu Forum Walsall

Hindu Forum attended a community event organized to get the community leaders together and talk about community cohesion and how we can share and learn from each Other. The Lord Mayor and councilors were in attendance, and was a great tribute in memory of Jo Cox, to remind ourselves there is much we can do together than alone. Speeches were given by all the dignitaries and each of community leaders to remind the community all the good work that is going on around Walsall.

“We are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us”
Jo Cox 1974-2016

Across the UK events were being organized for The Great Get Together in memory of Jo Cox. Near Neighbours is supporting the Jo Cox Foundation and encouraging faith and community groups to work together with their Neighbours to organize a Great Get Together event.
