2016 AGM: Chairman retires after 10 years

26th February 2017 by Hindu Forum Walsall

Manubhai Vyas has served on the Hindu Forum – Walsall Executive committee over the last 15 years, and chairman in the last 10 years. He steps down achieving numerous successes and achieving great accolade and respect across not just the Hindu community but also across the Walsall borough. He is known for his commitment and caring nature, that allows him to work alongside all pockets of society. He has held varied events and attended numerous functions that have involved Public services, other communities and professional organizations. A gift was presented to Manubhai in appreciation of his hard work. The real good news is that Manubhai has been persuaded to stay with the committee in the role of a Trustee.

Manubhai acknowledges the kind gift gesture presented by Kajal Paw with the following message

”
Dear All,
I would like to thank all of you at the Hindu Forum for the very thoughtful gift of the reclining Buddha statue that Kajalben presented to me at the last HF meeting on 11 December 2016;I would like to add that it has been an honour and my privilege to serve the Hindu community of Walsall over the past few years.

I would also like to record my thanks to all committee members for their valuable support over many years and I wish the Hindu Forum continued success in the future under the new Chairman, Ashvin Patel. Of course, I will continue to help the organisation in any way I can in my new role of Trustee,

I have seen the original Buddha statue at Ajanta Caves in India and so it will bring pleasant memories every time I look upon your gift. I have attached a Buddha quote which will resonate with everyone.

Once again thank you all.

Regards,
Manu Vyas|”

Manubhai Vyas Retires as Chair of Hindu Forum Walsall after almost a decade.
